Andrea Tarman is an oil painter that specializes in florals, butterflies and landscapes. She studied with 6 master painters before arriving at her signature, impressionistic style. She exhibits throughout Southern California and her works are held in private and corporate collections.
Tarman was always the kid that wanted to stay inside and draw instead of go outside and play. She grew up in Southern California and was known in school as “The kid that could draw”. She studied art and design in college then worked for Southern California adversing agencies. Tarman then owned her own design firm and was awarded fortune 500 corporate accounts but her heart wasn't in it, so she started studying painting. All together she studied with 6 master painters, taking a piece of what she learned from each, then arriving at her own signature, impressionistic style.
For the past 14 years she has resided in Huntington Beach, California painting full time. “My purpose is to show the wonders of nature in a unique way” says Tarman.
Tarman combines realism and abstraction in her oil paintings. She employs bold color and design to give her work a fresh and energetic quality. “I want the viewer to leave a bit more inspired and happier than when they came.”
