She studied art and design in college then worked for Southern California adversing agencies. Tarman then owned her own design firm and was awarded fortune 500 corporate accounts but her heart wasn't in it, so she started studying painting. All together she studied with 6 master painters, taking a piece of what she learned from each, then arriving at her own signature, impressionistic style.
FFor the past 14 years she has resided in Huntington Beach, California painting full time. “My purpose is to show the wonders of nature and create a dream-like magical feeling in my art” says Tarman.
Tarman combines realism and abstraction in her oil paintings. She employs bold color and design to give her work a rare, fresh and energetic quality. “I want the viewer to leave a bit more inspired and happier than when they came.”
