Last week started off with a surprise when I was honored with the "Woman of Distinction" award by Senator Janet Nguyen and her team during Women's History Month, recognizing my impact on our community. I wear many hats, artist, wife, mom. My art has been showcased in local spots like John Wayne Airport and various community centers, and it has reached beyond our state's borders. The message I spread with my creativity is simple: “Follow your dreams.” I've led art groups to simplify painting for adults and have inspired kids in art classes. My current artworks explore positive futures and invite you to chase what excites you. On the home front, I am very involved in supporting my son and his baseball teams, keeping him engaged, focused, and happy—something so many parents deserve huge credit for. In my art career navigating many challenges, including gender barriers and societal doubts, required courage from me. But just like anyone who dares to dream and discover, I accomplished. My success is due to my perseverance, showing that with dedication, we can all realize our dreams.
